ONCE UPON A TIME...

There was a bright young boy who had a fascination with books, wolves, and magic.

He'd spend all his free time drawing creatures and characters and making up tales of derring do and mythic proportion to allow them a world in which to frolic. Most people don't see this as a viable way to spend the rest of your life, but since any other path would only lead to a loss of the wonder so necessary to his daily life, he had little choice. Though of course if you asked him about it, "choice" isn't really even the right word. It's as intrinsic to him as breath and water.

Many years later, the boy as grown up as he was ever likely to get, he attended college at the Corcoran College of Art in Washington, DC, where not only did he learn design, illustrative skills and hone his craft, but they let him walk off with a BFA.

And that's my life, in short. I can't give up the wonder and gasping beauty of the world... but so many people don't see it that way anymore, I feel as though the best thing I could do for the human race is to bring that sense of awe back through scribe and scribble. Mostly scribble. And dancing in rainstorms. Which, as we all know, is best done naked.

At the Red Victoria Premier
Dallas, TX

This is the cremé de la cremé of swanky movie houses, and our friend Tony Brownrigg was having his film's public premier. We felt like dressing up.

And really, Maegan volunteered for that.
